Opportunity to be a student member of the Judge John M. Scheb American Inn of Court

There are opportunities to be a student member of the Judge John M. Scheb American Inn of Court! Currently, we are looking for three or four students interested in being student members of the Judge John M. Scheb American Inn of Court, especially those with ties to the Bradenton, Sarasota, or Venice area.

What is the Judge Scheb Inn of Court? Our current Inns are modeled off the American Inn of Court system, which is an association that brings together attorneys and judges (from all levels and backgrounds) together for regular monthly meetings.  During the meetings, the members continue to develop professional relationships, discuss legal issues, share experiences, mentor younger attorneys (and students), and so much more.  The Inn is further broken into pupilage groups that create presentations for the monthly meetings. (Each pupilage group creates one program a year.)

A student member of the Judge Scheb Inn of Court would need to be available to attend regular monthly meetings, usually, the second Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at Marina Jack’s. (There are some exceptions–no meetings in December and May.)

If you are a student with ties to Bradenton, Sarasota, or Venice and are interested in being considered, please send an updated resume to Professor Bowman ([email protected]) by Thursday, September 4. If you have any questions, please reach out to Professor Bowman, as she is the Academic liaison to the Judge Scheb Inn of Court.
