PRO BONO OPPORTUNITY & CHALLENGE

From January 31 until March 25th the Florida Bar Foundation is challenging all Florida law schools to participate in the Pro Bono Law School Challenge. This is a great opportunity for students to complete their legal pro bono hours and to network with alumni lawyers. The challenge is designed to connect students with a Stetson lawyer working on a pro bono case from a legal aid organization.  If no Stetson lawyer is available, you will be matched with a lawyer who graduated from another school.  The goal of the program is to coordinate efforts to provide legal services to citizens who cannot afford legal counsel.  By participating in this effort you will help to close the justice gap and fulfill the promise of “equal justice for all”.

We are being called to compete with other law schools to see which law school will take the largest number of cases.

Students in need of pro bono hours or students who simply want to volunteer to help serve the legal needs of our community, please go to https://thefloridabarfoundation.org/florida-pro-bono-law-school-challenge and sign up to assist lawyers working on pro bono cases.  Help us demonstrate Stetson’s commitment to excellence in advocacy.

If you have any questions about the challenge please read this page FAQs: Florida Pro Bono Law School Challenge | The Florida Bar Foundation and/or contact us at [email protected]
