Remote Pro-Bono! Work with the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition
The Florida Rights Restoration Coalition is looking for law student volunteers. FRRC is grassroots, membership organization run by Returning Citizens who are dedicated to ending the disenfranchisement and discrimination against people with convictions and creating a more comprehensive and humane reentry system that will enhance successful reentry, reduce recidivism, and increase public safety. Each volunteer law student will have the option to volunteer for legal or non-legal pro bono hours. \
For legal pro bono hours, the law student will be paired with a volunteer attorney and prepare attorney client agreements and modifications for the client. For non-legal pro bono, the law student will assist in researching sentencing documents and extract and summarize amounts for the individual to become a returning citizen. The work is done virtually. A training is required and will also count toward non-legal pro bono hours. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Sharon Madison at [email protected].
