The Adams Inn is sponsoring a field trip for all interested students on Friday, March 1 at 2:30.

The field trip will be to the Florida Holocaust Museum in downtown St. Pete, where we will have a private tour led by Mr. Michael Igel, who is an attorney with the Johnson, Pope firm, the Chairperson of the Board for the FHM, and a person with a compelling personal story to tell based on his own family’s history.  I chose this field trip because I have been a member of the FHM for a number of years now and, every time I visit, I find the Nuremberg Laws display to be very meaningful – and an aspect of history that is important for lawyers and law students alike to understand.  There is also a significant Stetson connection: Dean Sebring, for whom the Sebring Courtroom was named, was a judge in the Nuremberg Trials before he became Stetson’s Dean.

The FHM would like to know how many students to plan for, so please e-mail Professor Adams ([email protected]) by this Friday – February 9, at the end of the day if you are interested in attending so that we can begin planning.  It is OK to let me know if you are interested but not yet sure of your schedule. In your e-mail message to me, please also indicate whether you are able to drive (and might be willing to take others) or whether you will need transportation, so that we can arrange carpools.  There is plenty of parking at the FHM, but carpooling will be courteous for other guests who may also be visiting.   All interested students are welcome.
