I graduated from Stetson in 1973 and was commissioned in the Regular Army in the Medical Service Corps. After completion of the AMEDD Officer Basic Course and the Patient Admin Course at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, I was assigned to the 45th Medical Battalion, 3rd Armored Division in Germany in November 1973. I ended my tour with the 45th as the Commander, Charlie Company. I retired from the Army after 30 years in 2003 while assigned to the North Atlantic Regional Medical Command then located at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC. I did not serve in Vietnam but may be considered a Vietnam-era serviceman.
