CALL Program Panel Event ~ February 7

Join us for a panel speaker event! CALL, Community Service Life Liason, is a program implemented by St. Pete Police Department in conjunction with Gulf Coast JFCS in which a mental health professional responds to certain 911 calls. 

From their website CALL goals are:

  • Reduce police involvement in non-criminal and non-violent calls for service.
  • Reduce repeat calls for service to police from the same person by providing support and longer-term service connections.
  • Provide a more compassionate approach to quality of life issues.
  • Increase the amount of time our sworn officers can focus on keeping our City safe.

We will have two panelists from the Saint Pete Police Department, a representative from Gulf Coast JFCS, and a representative from the Public Defender’s Office of the 6th Circuit. Food will be provided.
