ABA Law Student Writing Competition is Back

This is a great resume builder and even if a particular student does not receive first place, he/she may have an opportunity to be nationally published in one of the ABA Forum on Construction Law publications. Runners up will have an opportunity for publication as well! Here are the details:

The winning participant will receive:

  • National recognition via the ABA Forum on Construction Law
  • $1,000 cash prize
  • Travel expenses to the Fall Meeting 2023 in Washington DC (not to exceed $2,000)
  • First place plaque
  • One-year membership in the Forum

A second place winner may be recognized as well, and all participants will be considered for publication in a Forum on Construction Law publication. The Aviation and Space Law Committee Writing Competition

The Aviation and Space Law Committee Writing Competition of the ABA Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section | Entries Due by September 9, 2022.

Are you a law student or LLM candidate currently attending an ABA-accredited law school? Do you have an interest in aviation and space law? If so, this writing competition is for you! Submit a 20-page paper addressing a recent development in any area of aviation or space law or discuss an area of aviation or space law where a controversy or disagreement exist. Entrants are encouraged to write on subjects of national interest, rather than state-specific issues. 

Winner

  • $500 cash prize
  • Up to $1500 reimbursement for hotel and transportation expenses to attend and speak at the ABA TIPS Aviation Litigation Conference in Washington, DC on October 27-28, 2022
  • Publication in an upcoming edition of the TIPS Aviation and Space Law Committee’s newsletter.
