The Office of the Attorney General in Florida is looking for interns for the Fall 2022 semester. From the Office of the Attorney General, Ashley Moody:

“Our program offers students internships in a wide-variety of fields, encompassing civil and criminal law as well as trial and appellate practices.  We aim to provide students with a meaningful experience that includes attending court events  – like hearings, trials and oral arguments  – and participating in the litigation of cases.  We also offer them the opportunity to not only enhance their understanding of the field they choose, but to hone their legal writing and research skills as well.  Positions are available at our offices throughout the state, including Tampa and St. Petersburg. “

Students who attend an ABA accredited law school are encouraged to apply. There are opportunities for academic credit, as well as opportunities for volunteering.

Students must be able to intern a minimum of 20 hours per week, or for a period as prescribed by the college or school. The number and locations of internships opportunities available each term is based on agency need and opportunity; a summary page with a brief description of each unit has been added to the last page of the intern application to assist you in your selection.
