On Sunday April 23rd at 9:00am Andrew was assigned to work the Beach volleyball game. For the Women’s Volleyball game Jeffrey assigned him to operate the hitachi camera. The hitachi camera that he is use to using for the basketball games had a different view finder that involves looking with one eye where the red, yellow, and green lights were shown. He had to hold the camera on his shoulder during the whole games with a pare of headsets on his head for any information on what to do.Inorder to communicate with the crew in the trailer, Andrew had to set down the camera an turn on the switch on the back. While recording, he had to focus on getting the athletes performing by zooming in and out and turning his body from left to right. He made sure to keep each stetson athlete playing in a frame from head to knees and got quick shots of them hitting the ball near the net. He had to make sure that his focus was adjusted properly inorded to not have any blurness on the screen. After each game, Andrew had to move the camera over to the commentators before the next round of Beach Volleyball. What’s more, he was assigned as flag coordinator which involved holding the red flag up to indicate that the game has not started and to put it down to let the coach know that the game can begin.
