The Innovation Lab, housed in the duPont-Ball Library, is a space where students, faculty, and staff can come to create projects for classes, labs, research projects, or just for fun. The Innovation Lab is open to all current Stetson students, faculty, and staff.
Our space, though small, is configured to keep you safe and provide use of the equipment. In this post-COVID environment, signage and helpful direction help establish a user-friendly work setting. As we have confined spaces, we ask that you respect the 6 person maximum occupancy within the lab as we reopen this Fall 2020. This will be reflected in the seating provided and floor markings at each workstation.
We have offered demonstrations of most of our equipment for classes pre-COVID. These visits to the Innovation Lab will have to halt, but we will make an effort to find ways to demonstrate at a distance through pre-recorded/virtual options.
You must attend a brief safety training session before using some areas in the Lab (such as the soldering stations, power tools, and CNC Router). In addition, the large Stratasys uPrint SE 3D Printers (you can read more about them here) are reserved for academic-related print jobs and require a reservation prior to use. Come and enjoy this great creative space and try out new learning technologies!
