The duPont-Ball Library houses more than 197,000 books, 20,400 bound periodicals, and 201,000 federal documents, as well as microforms, videos, and other formats. Through the library’s catalog, more than 437,000 electronic books, websites, and streaming audio and videos are accessible.

The library uses the Library of Congress classification system and Library of Congress subject headings for the main collection.
