Are some information sources better than others? Why do some assignments ask you to only use peer-reviewed articles or empirical research articles? Why are some sources considered inappropriate for a research paper? In this hands-on workshop, you will learn about different sources of information, how they are created, and the ways they may be used in a research project.

The duPont-Ball Library competition for the library’s Evans C. Johnson Research Prize and the R. Neil Scott Research Prize is open for 2022.
To apply:
Both Research Prizes are open to all students who as a first-year college student completed a research paper during the last calendar year (spring, summer, or fall semesters 2021).
The contest is sponsored by the duPont-Ball Library to encourage the thorough, effective, creative, and ethical uses of research resources. $200 in prizes may be awarded for each prize.
Library Hours for Spring Break, Saturday, February 26 to Saturday, March 5 are:
Mon. – Fri.: 8 AM to 5 PM
Sat. – Sun.: CLOSED

The duPont-Ball YA Book Club is back! This semester’s book is The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab.
Participants will receive a free book for signing up, and will receive cultural credit for attending the discussion to be held on Wednesday, April 6th at 6 PM in the Library East Room. Refreshments will be provided.
