Avoid Paywalls with Library Research Tools: A QEP Workshop
Wednesday, September 21, 6 pm to 7 pm in the East Room, 1st floor, duPont-Ball Library
Registration is encouraged.

You may have heard the phrase “Information wants to be free” but you know it’s not true because you’ve encountered a journal article paywall. As a member of the Stetson community, you have access to databases, journals, articles, books, ebooks, streaming video, and more, all paid for by Stetson. Learn about accessing journal articles, databases, and other library resources available that may save you money. Cultural Credit is available for this QEP workshop.

QEP workshop: Are all sources created equal?

Are some information sources better than others? Why do some assignments ask you to only use peer-reviewed articles or empirical research articles? Why are some sources considered inappropriate for a research paper? In this hands-on workshop, you will learn about different sources of information, how they are created, and the ways they may be used in a research project.
