April 3, 2020 Update

In response to the Governor’s Stay-at-Home Executive Order, the duPont-Ball Library has
adjusted our services to include the following:

  • Ask A Librarian Virtual Information & Research Assistance:
    [email protected]
    Available:
    Monday-Thursday: 10 am – 8 pm
    Friday: 10 am – 5 pm
    Saturday: 11 am – 5 pm
    Sunday: 2 pm – 8 pm

  • Request Physical Items:
Locate the item in OneSearch and use the Request Item – Place Hold button.
    https://www2.stetson.edu/library/ (OneSearch Tab)
Items will be sent to your campus mailbox or home address.

  • Request Equipment Checkout – pick-up by appointment only:
    [email protected] or https://stetson.libwizard.com/equip-pickup

  • Interlibrary Loan Questions:
    [email protected]

Please note: As other libraries across the country curtail services, it is becoming increasingly difficult to borrow physical materials (e.g., books and scores). While you may still request these materials, expect to have long waits or unfilled requests. Feel free to email [email protected] to see if there are alternative formats for your material.

  • Archives and Special Collections Inquiries:
    [email protected]

  • The 24/7 Computer Lab (Room 15 L) on the Library Ground Floor is Open:
    Use card swipe to enter.

  • The Writing Center has moved to online instruction only:
    https://www.stetson.edu/other/writing-center/

We appreciate your understanding as we do everything we can to provide academic support while protecting the health and safety of all members of the Stetson community.

Updated 4-3-2020

Request Items
Locate items in OneSearch,  use the Place Hold – Request Item button to make a request. The library will email you when the item is ready.  Beginning on March 30, the library will send items through campus mail or ship items to your home address.

See instructions for requesting items

Email [email protected] for research assistance in locating items to request.

Equipment Pickup – by appointment only
Use this form to request  technology/equipment – laptops, cameras, voice recorders, tripods, etc. On the form, list a date and time that you would like to pick up the item at the front door of the library. Library staff will contact you to confirm the time.

Library Materials by Mail
The library will ship library owned materials to the home address of students who have moved home.  Use this form to request materials.

Renew Items
As always, the library does not charge overdue fines for borrowed items kept after the due date but does bill for the replacement cost of items that are long overdue. Students may renew borrowed items through their online library account (see instructions) or by emailing [email protected].

The library will be more flexible with the number of renewals student can request and understands that some students may need to keep materials until they return to campus in the fall.

Students may return items through the mail. Media Mail, through the U.S. Postal Service, is a cost-effective way to ship books, DVDs, scores, etc. back to the library. Use this mailing address:
